Mobile Mechanic

No matter what kind of vehicle you drive, you are going to need to get it serviced eventually. Oil changes, tire rotations, battery checks, and other routine maintenance will keep your car, truck, or SUV in proper working condition. But what do you do when you can't make it to the dealership, especially if there is something wrong with your vehicle that prevents you from operating it safely? This is where our mobile mechanic services come in. Rather than coming to our dealership for service, we send a trained technician to your home to perform the maintenance on your vehicle there.

At Reineke Ford of Findlay, we work hard to make things easier for our customers like you. We understand that you may lead a busy lifestyle, and don't have the time to bring in your vehicle for service and then wait around for it to be completed. This is why we offer you the convenience of getting your car serviced at your home or office by one of our skilled team members.

Mobile Mechanic Services Overview

Sometimes your vehicle needs service, but for whatever reason, you cannot get to our dealership. Don't worry. Our mobile service team will have you covered, providing your vehicle with the work you need wherever you may be.

On-Site Vehicle Service and Repair Approach

Ford Mobile Service is a service we provide to our customers who are experiencing difficulty with their vehicle or need service in a remote location. It only takes a few minutes to schedule your mobile service through our dealership. You can either do this by calling our service center directly or by filling out an appointment request right here online. If your vehicle is within the vicinity of our service area, we'll come to you to get your car the care it needs.

When the time comes for your scheduled service appointment, our factory-trained technician will come to your location, ready to perform the requested maintenance on your vehicle. We take the same care and attention to your vehicle as we would if you had brought it in for service at our dealership.

Types of Maintenance and Repair Services Performed Remotely

The types of maintenance and repairs you can get on your vehicle through our mobile service are fairly similar to those provided at our dealership's service center. For example, our technician can change the oil and filter at your location. We can also check your vehicle's battery if you are having electrical issues, and replace the battery if necessary.

There are other repairs we can make as well. If your windshield wipers are worn, we can replace them. We can rotate your tires to make sure they wear evenly. If there are any bulbs that are out in your headlights, taillights, or interior lighting, our technician can replace them. We can even service your brakes at your location, and do a full diagnostic scanning of your vehicle to see if there are any other issues that may need to be addressed. Just contact our team to make sure that our mobile mechanic can work on the problem with your vehicle at a remote place instead of bringing it to our service center.

Benefits of Mobile Mechanic Services

There are a number of reasons why we offer our customers like you the Ford Mobile Service. This includes convenience and timing. The goal is to make sure your vehicle is in perfect running order without having you drive to our dealership to get your car, truck, or SUV serviced.

Convenience of Service at Home, Work, or Roadside

Mobile service is all about convenience. We understand that you may not be able to drive your vehicle to our dealership. This could be because you lead a busy lifestyle, or you may have issues limiting your mobility. It may even involve your vehicle having a problem that needs to be addressed, such as a battery that isn't holding a charge, so you can't start your car. Having someone come to your home or workplace makes it easier for you to get the service you need. If you have experienced an issue on the road, our mobile mechanic can come to you to get your vehicle back in working order so you can continue your journey.

Time Savings and Reduced Need for Dealership Visits

Your time is valuable. You may be busy with work or family life, so much so that you may not be able to fit a trip to our service center into your schedule. We understand this, while we also know that you want to keep your vehicle in proper working order. If this sounds like you, then this is why we started our mobile service program.

Instead of taking the time needed to drive to our dealership and wait while we service your vehicle, we are able to go to you and provide the maintenance your vehicle needs while you go about your day, whether at home or at work. This is all part of our commitment to giving you the type of personalized customer service support you deserve.

Common Services Offered On-Site

You may be surprised at the different services offered by our mobile mechanic service. We can provide you with almost as many things at your home or office as we can when you bring your vehicle into our service center.

Routine Maintenance Like Oil Changes and Battery Service

Your vehicle's oil is a critical component that is necessary to keep the moving parts in your engine properly lubricated. Over time, the engine heat can break down the oil, causing it to lose viscosity. At the same time, the oil filter can get clogged with minute particles. Left unaddressed, this can cause your vehicle's performance to suffer and eventually damage your engine. Our mobile mechanic team member can change your oil and filter, so your vehicle can perform optimally. When you schedule your mobile appointment, we will make note of the make and model of your vehicle so our technician will have the right oil and filter for the oil change.

We can also help you with battery service. Sometimes, your vehicle's battery may begin to have difficulty holding a charge. This could be temporary, like leaving the lights on overnight, or permanent, which sometimes happens with an old battery. Our mobile mechanic will bring the proper diagnostic tools and a proper replacement battery for your vehicle. In this way, we can recharge a battery that is in otherwise good working condition, or replace one that has gone bad.

Minor Repairs, Diagnostics, and Part Replacements

Our mobile mechanic service also covers minor repairs and parts replacements. If you notice that your windshield wipers are streaking when it rains, we can install a new set of wiper blades on your vehicle. While we are there, our technician can also top off your windshield wiper fluid. The same can be done with lamps and bulbs on your vehicle. We can replace any that may have gone out. Finally, we can help you with things like brake service, if there are any issues with the ones on your vehicle.

When we perform a mobile service, we will perform diagnostic scanning on your vehicle. This will alert us to any issues with the car, truck, or SUV. For example, if we notice a low level of brake fluid, coolant, or other fluids, we will not only top them off but also check for any leaks that need to be addressed at our service center.

Our technician will also check to see if there are any software updates required for your model. This could include anything from the infotainment system or driver assistance features. We will also check for any open recalls that need to be addressed as well.

The level of service is fairly broad. If you don't see the item you need for your vehicle listed here, simply contact our service center to make sure it can be performed remotely.

Scheduling and Service Process

We have made the mobile servicing program as easy as possible for our customers. The goal is to have a process that is just as convenient as when you schedule a service visit at our dealership.

How to Request Mobile Service and Set Appointments

Requesting a mobile mechanic visit is just as easy as scheduling service at our service center. Simply call our dealership to request a mobile mechanic or apply for the service right here on our website. We will let you know if your location is within the coverage area for this service. We will also advise you if the service you requested can be provided remotely.

What to Expect During Arrival, Inspection, and Completion

When the time comes for your service visit, our technician will arrive at your home or place of business on time and introduce themself before getting to work. You don't have to leave your home or office if you don't want to, so you can go about your personal business.

The technician will begin the inspection, making sure to diagnose the problem properly before getting to work. This may involve a multi-point inspection or the use of diagnostic tools. In the event that they encounter something that must be addressed at our dealership, they will promptly let you know. We will keep you fully informed throughout the visit.

Once the technician has completed the work, they will go over the findings with you. They will explain the repair or maintenance they performed, while also letting you know if there is anything else that may require your attention in the future.

Vehicle Types Supported

You are going to be amazed at the different vehicles that we service through our mobile service program. Just like the wide variety of services we perform, we can also handle most vehicles.

Cars, Trucks, and SUVs Across Multiple Makes

We also provide maintenance and repairs to vehicles made by other brands. This means that if you need remote service on a Ford or another make sedan, truck, or SUV, you can get the repairs you need from our mobile technician. When you schedule your appointment, we will need the make, model, and year of your vehicle. This will ensure that we have the proper parts for the service that our technician will be providing.

Common Service Limitations for Complex Repairs

Unfortunately, our mobile mechanic cannot handle all of the things that are provided at our dealership. Sometimes, in performing a remote service, we may encounter a complex issue that requires the vehicle to be driven or towed to our dealership. If this happens, we will let you know and advise you of what needs to be done to repair your vehicle.

Sometimes, in performing a tire rotation, we encounter damage to the tire, such as a rip or puncture in the sidewall, that cannot be repaired. In order for your vehicle to drive properly, this tire will need to be replaced at our dealership. Similarly, we may encounter a bent rotor while performing a routine brake service. Low fluid levels could also be indicative of a leak. These will also need to be fixed at our service center.

Mobile vs In-Shop Service

Before you decide on using the Ford Mobile Service, you should be aware of when it differs from bringing your vehicle to our service center. This is important to keep in mind so you know when you can take advantage of our remote repair service.

When Mobile Service is Appropriate vs Dealership Visit

The technician who will be performing the mobile service is drawn from the same team that works at our dealership. They have been properly trained and certified to work on your vehicle, and are no different from someone working at our service center. However, their equipment and tools are not as extensive as we maintain on site.

Most routine services can be performed remotely. This includes oil and filter changes, tire rotations, battery replacement, fluid and filter service, and windshield wiper replacement. However, sometimes your vehicle has more complex needs that cannot be addressed remotely.

Situations Requiring Full Service Center Equipment

There are some things that cannot be handled remotely and require that you bring your car, truck, or SUV to our dealership. For example, if you have sustained damage to your vehicle's suspension system, this will have to be repaired here. Similarly, any transmission work requires the equipment we maintain at our service center.

If your vehicle's tires need to be replaced, this will have to be undertaken at our dealership. Replacing the tires is not a simple task and requires that they be properly balanced before you can take your vehicle out on the road.

When you contact us to make an appointment for a mobile mechanic, we will let you know if the service can be handled remotely. If this is not covered, then our friendly staff member will help you set an appointment for you to bring your vehicle to our dealership to get serviced here.

Why Choose Our Team for Mobile Service

Finding the right people to service your vehicle is an important decision. Your vehicle is an important asset to you, and is often the only way you have to get to school or work each day. That is why it is crucial to choose the right team for your mobile service.

Technician Experience and Service Reliability

Every technician we hire to perform mobile services is Ford factory-trained. This means that they have undergone a rigorous program training them to work on every Ford model and vehicle type, and to service each part, system, and feature on your vehicle. They have been properly screened and certified before we send them out to do remote work for our customers.

The service you receive in our mobile program is the same as we offer at our dealership's service center. If you are getting an oil change, our technician will take the same care and provide the same reliable quality as you would receive if you brought your vehicle in for service.

Connection to Full Dealership Resources for Follow-Up Needs

Our mobile program comes with the full backing of our dealership. In the event your car, truck, or SUV needs any follow-up service, we will help you make an appointment for the next step in the process. We will let you know what needs to be done, and will help you schedule a time that works best for you.
